Civilian user, I run a semi-annual night vision shoot at a local club, and occasionally shoot low light matches with NVDs.
I'm on my fifth NVD currently, I keep buying and selling used stuff. Rebuilt two PVS-14s with OMNI VII tubes. Hopefully I will have something special to show soonish. Planning on building a franken-nod out of some parts.
Sounds like a really fun application of NVD's. Hope to be able to see a couple of pictures or videos from the events and build!
