Hey nitewalker forum, quick question. I'm using the TNVC NPBM with 2 PVS14s, and when I first look through it, things are blurry. This is after I focus them one at a time, going obj, occ, then obj lens. When using with both eyes, it feels "off" for a moment. My brain seems to adjust to this and within 10sec the picture seems great.
What I really notice is the feeling of going cross-eyed when I remove the NODs and look unaided. This lasts for a minute or so. I also feel fatigued and a slight headache. Is this a collimation issue? When I flip the tubes around, one combo is definitely worse than the other. Thanks.
Hey Alexander, Make sure your diopter adjustments (eyepieces) are good on both of your -14’s because those can cause a similar effect if they’re off. If that doesn’t fix it then you can recollimate them. Here’s a technique that I basically use. It’s easy with the NPBM because you just rotate one out of the way then do the other. https://www.ar15.com/forums/Armory/DIY-Collimation-Technique/18-510765/
Thanks for the advice - I saw your response on YouTube as well. Something is weird for arfcom for me and I can't find that thread. It only takes me to the overarching Night Vision subform. I know arfcom has had issues with their platform and migration but I'll try to find that subthread. You wouldn't happen to offer that service for a fee, would you? Thanks again!
